Solution
Hello,
You must open the ports used by netbios and directory service.
Those ports are:
netbios-ns 137/tcp # NetBIOS Name Service
netbios-ns 137/udp
netbios-dgm 138/tcp # NetBIOS Datagram Service
netbios-dgm 138/udp
netbios-ssn 139/tcp # NetBIOS Session Service
netbios-ssn 139/udp
microsoft-ds 445/tcp # Microsoft Directory Service
microsoft-ds 445/udp
(check /etc/services)
So open 137-139 and 445 on both tcp and udp and should do the job.
Best regards,
Horia.

Re: CIFS for 11.31 --installation and firewall ports
Shalom Raj,
Depending on what kind of domain controller you want to use:
netbios-ns 137-139 and 445
TCP and UDP
