Based on the open source server software Samba (version 2.2.5) - when will 2.2.7a or better yet 2.2.8 be available?

The CIFS Server Technology Preview is based on 2.2.7a and is available via:

This is not a supported release, but it will allow folks that want to play with newer features the chance to do so. At some point this will move to 2.2.8a. When HP lab is satisfied with the stability and reliability of this samba opensource version, we will base a CIFS SERVER release on it.
