clays 80000 points over what time frame is this

It strikes me that as long as you are receiving points the longer you do so the more you get if the 80000 points was done over say 12 months this truely would be amazing but if it was an accumulated total over say 20years then that would mean clay would be earning at the rate of 4000 a year so while still good would very much depend on how many points are being allocated for each answer would it not.

According to Merijn's stats, Clay has gained 60,000 points since April of 2002, or slightly under 15,000 year. That's well over 1000 per month.

Pretty damn impressive, if you ask me.

Re: clays 80000 points over what time frame is this

Shalom,

Its better to look at the ITRC stats site than the profile to determine the speed of A. Clay's ascent.

As I looked back once, he's been active since at least 1999. Looking at my profile for example will show an ITRC date of 2001, October, yet it took me two years to begin active participation.

Any way you look at it, A. Clay's accomplishment is something special. He sets the standard for post quality around here.

A. Clay once threatened to take the HP-UX CSA test but absolutely refused to study for it. I doubt he'd need to.

Re: clays 80000 points over what time frame is this

The earliest responses to questions I have found for A. Clay are from March 13, 2001.

So, 80,000 points in 5.5 years is an average of 14,545.45 points per year or 1,212.12 points per month.

Pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

Re: clays 80000 points over what time frame is this

Hi Steven:

The ITRC profile membership date reflects the timestamp a member joined the ITRC at-large. It in NO WAY reflects the individual's first participation (if any) in the ITRC Forums.

Please see my comments in the thread below where I note of April 24, 2002 and particularly the *first* link therein.

The Forums as we think of them begain in late 1999 with an major redraft in May 2000.

The best way I know to find when a user actually began posting is to traverse to the last (earliest) entry in his/her "my responses" in his/her profile.

Its really easy to research these things...

Is what I meant to say. You are a very good editor. Cheers, hope to see you in Houston.

Tomadachis,

I guess one thing can be drawn as a conclusion from Dr. A. Clay's accomplishment..

"Have Cluster, will have more time for Forum'ing"

So get yerselves clusterized and automated so you can forum a lot!

Cheers!

Harley-Man.
