Clone issue

Clone issue

I have a client with an rp7410 running HP-UX 11.11. The server is attached to a SAN based CX600. We are trying to move some clones from FC drives to ATA drives. The clones on the FC drives have been in service for 3 years and have been functioning properly. All drivers and software on both the array and server has been updated to the proper revisions. However,
when ever I try to utilize the clones on the ATA drives, I have 4 file systems that all consistently com back as being corrupt. When I fun an fsck (fsck -F vxfs -o full) I get the following error message:

log replay in progress
fileset 1 primary-ilist inode 65 has invalid number of blocks (186)
fileset 1 primary-ilist inode 97 has invalid number of blocks (186)
no valid ILISTs for fileset 999
file system check failure, aborting ...

I am quite puzzled by this as 14 other clones all work properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Clone issue

Shalom,

I'd check that there are not EMC problems. This clone is an EMC function and has nothing to do with the OS.

Re: Clone issue

That was my first thought, but the 18 FC clones all work perfectly, and there are 14 other ATA based clones that also work properly. I am not rechecking my own work to make sure that the correct clones are synching to the correct source LUNs, and that I am using them in the proper arrangement.

Re: Clone issue

I recreated my clone LUNs on the array, and the problem disappeared.
