Close question?

What I have to do, when I found the solution off my question by myself and I want to "close" the question, because I am happy? I can't give me 10 Points.

Re: Close question?

Hi:

I would suggest you post the solution you found. This meets one of the principal objectives of this forum -- to disseminate information to one another. Somebody else may read your closing post and find your solution is their's.

As for rewarding yourself points, I don't think that is appropriate. Points are supposed to be the "thanks" to others who take the time to share and to help solve problems. Award points to yourself by patting yourself on the back and knowing you've grown by solving your own problem!

post a reply to your own question stating you have solved the problem and dont require any more help.

Re: Close question?

Hi,

I don't want any points and not delete the question, but the symbol with the hat and rabbit, so you can see, there is no more need for help! The friendly person, who wants to help, don't have to read all!

Re: Close question?

Horst:

Good point! Maybe the ITRC administrators could add an icon just for the purpose you state. Suggest you suggest this. Go to the ITRC Formums home page. At the bottom is a line that reads "If you have questions about this new service or want to provide feedback, please click here." Click the "here" and present your suggestion.
