Cluster does not start after new lan card installation

We installed a 100B-T lan card on each of the two servers forming our cluster.
These new cards won't replace the ones configured in cluster configuration.
After installing drives for those cards, so the device have become claimed, the cluster isn't able to start anymore.
I'm new in MC/Service Guard and i'd like to know what to do!

P.S. uninstalling the drives, the cluster was succesfully started.

thanks,
Alessio

Re: Cluster does not start after new lan card installation

firstly, supply more information
Which OS version?
Which version of SG?
what is the current SG configuration, particularly the lans (lanscan ?)
what did this change to when installing the new cards?

Second, there are good manauls available at:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/ha

and of course there is the option of attending the ServiceGuard training course offered by HP Education :-}

Re: Cluster does not start after new lan card installation

is the second network card configured in the same subnet as the first one? Two NIC's must have IP addresses in different subnets .

Re: Cluster does not start after new lan card installation

Hi Allesio,

Once you have installed the Cards on the system, do a "lanscan" and check that the instance of lan0/lan1 might have got changed. Or still the ip from the old card might have got transferred to the new card.

Hope this helps.
