Cluster lock disk failure

Hi there....

I need to replace this disk and found ...

I have a vgcfg backup but I've since upgraded the os and mc/sg to 11 since this backup was taken. Will it still work?

Re: Cluster lock disk failure

I don't think it would work . YOu have to do it from scratch .

After replacing the disk and creating your VG/LV and FS don't foreget to a cmapplyconf again so that SG recognises the replaced disk as lock disk even if the device files doesn't change .

Re: Cluster lock disk failure

SG was upgraded at 9am 27/7/02. I have a vg.conf file from 12pm 27/7/02. Is there any way I can find out the exact time that the cmapplyconf was executed? (I don't have the syslogs back that far).

Re: Cluster lock disk failure

Nix that. My vg.conf file is 20 minutes newer than my cmclconfig file. Woo hoo!

Thanks.

Re: Cluster lock disk failure

Take a look at this file . /var/opt/cmom/cmomd.log .

The time stamp on this log file will tell you when cmapplyconf was used last .
