Re: Cluster on hpux11i
2) Are you sure thats the *exact* syntax of the error. It's not actually:
"failed to get new net buffer for received packet"
is it?

Re: Cluster on hpux11i
Critical message:
ERROR: Function activate_volume_group
ERROR: Failed to activate vg02
You have a package that needs to activate vg02 in order to have disk to work with or a filesystem to mount. Its not happening.
I suspect some kind of change in the SAN environment, since the volume group appears to be shared on a SAN.
that is where I'd start my investigation.

Re: Cluster on hpux11i
Please take the time to look at this a little closer. Th errors you were referring to were dated Nov 7 (presumably 2006 unless someone is playing with dates on this system!) And it can be seen further down in the log that this problem has been fixed.

Re: Cluster on hpux11i
When the system is powered on, it start showing the following:
"failed to get new net buffer for received packet"
then when the network service passes it then changes to:
"failed to get new net cluster for received packet"

Re: Cluster on hpux11i
The good news is it has nothing to do with your Serviceguard cluster.
