Clustering J 6700 workstations with SG

Hi,

I trying to set up a test cluster. Have 2 J6000 workstations w 11.11 set up. Anyone know how to set up shared storage for this? I have a disk subsystem 2110, however both SCSI controllers in the workstations have the default SCSI ID's set to 7. How do you get around this?

Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't think that MCSG is supported on workstations.

Serviceguard is not suported on workstations, and I also believe you cannot change the built in SCSI controller ID's.

Re: Clustering J 6700 workstations with SG

Hi Vibash,

Don't have any idea whether MCSG is supported on J class workstations.

Its possible to change the SCSI id. I have changed it for a RP5470 server. I had rebooted the system, interrupted the boot process and in the PDC, changed it from there. Don't remember exactly what is used to change the SCSI id. Might be the configure command in PDC.

I agree with Melvyn - Serviceguard is not licensed for workstations, hence, it is not possible to pull the software off of the Server media to load on the workstation.
