cmomd daemon is not installed.

Hi

I installed HP ServiceGuard Manager A.03.0001 for Windows on my laptop in order to manage clusters from the GUI.

Two clusters (SGuard A.11.09) failed to connect. I found the "cmomd" daemon (port 5303 - hacl-probe in /etc/services) is not installed in those hosts because that daemon is installed and running on hosts of another SG cluster (A.11.12). Tracking the filesets to which this daemon belongs, I found the product
Cluster-OM (A.01.01) whose description is "HP Cluster API".

I don't know this product. Where is it found ? What SG releases are compatible with ?

Thanx a lot.

Re: cmomd daemon is not installed.

That daemon does not exist for 11.09 SG, you can only connect to a Object Manager fro SGMGR on a node that has 11.12 or higher installed.
Please read the Release Notes for SGMGR and the Managing Serviceguard Manual available at:

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/ha/#ServiceGuard

for further details.

Re: cmomd daemon is not installed.

I disagree.

I have two hosts. Service Guard A.11.09 is installed. "HP Cluster Object Manager" (A.01.01) is installed too (I have just found out Cluter-OM is bundled in B8324BA. This bundle requires no codeword).

Re: cmomd daemon is not installed.

correct, but at that version it does not support the SGMGR API or cmomd version
