compare disk quota for two users

Hi,
I am trying to compare disk quotas of two users in one nis system.
I am getting following output from quota command whether logged in as root OR
su ???
# quota ???v
Disk quotas for "user" (uid XX):
Filesystem usage quota limit timeleft files quota limit timeleft
#

I am unable to understand why the complete output is not showing up. Any suggestion is most appreciated.
