SolutionIf you notice in the server support matrix, it lists the L series as 64-bit only for 11.0 and 11i.
Why not go ahead and upgrade to 11? 10.20 is going out of support very soon anyway.

Re: Compatibility Matrix
L, N and V class servers only support 64 bit OS. You have to load 11.X (64bit) on these !

Re: Compatibility Matrix
your rp5400 will only run 11.00 or higher (no 10.20).
As for the CPU price, check with a reseller in your area about a used one. It's not really cost efficient to buy a new cpu for that box for the relatively short time you will probably be on it.
Good luck
FG.

Re: Compatibility Matrix
At my last assignment we had dozens of Ls (1000/2000/3000), 4 V-2500s & a 4 Ns - ALL running 10.20 - some running MC/SG to boot.
And wasn't the V-class out before 11.x was even released?
Can an HP eng clarify this please?
Rgds,
Jeff

Re: Compatibility Matrix
I believe that the V series and the release of HP-UX 11.0 were almost simultaneous. HP-UX 11.0 has been out for quite a while now.

Re: Compatibility Matrix
They cannot run 10.20, there has never been a 64 bit release of 10.20, and these systems are 64bit OS ONLY!

Re: Compatibility Matrix
I went through my logs & indeed it was our D, K & H class units @ 10.2.
The Ls, Ns & Vs were indeed 11.0
I think the cold/flu medicine I'm taking has seriously affected my memory ;~)
Sorry,
Jeff
