Post this:

HP Machine:

# netstat -rn
# traceroute proxy-ip
# traceroute usmachine-ip

Proxy Machine:

# netstat -rn
# traceroute usmachine-ip

will give more ways to suggest and troubleshoot.

Hello,

Can you ping HP machine from your local machine ? I think, you have restrictions to access FTP service in HP.
