DBA would like to be able to SFTP files from Oralce to HP-UX server and files back up to Oracle FTP site. Currently they have to bring files from oracle to local desktop then sftp to server and vice versa.
Which files need to be modified on HP-server to allow this ?

Re: Configure HP-UX server for outside internet access
If they can sftp from local desktop to HP-UX you don't need to change anything. Just check network restrictions.

Solution
Shalom,
Nothing needs to be modified.
Install Secure Shell from http://software.hp.com
Search on Secure shell.
Install it and get it running.
See that /etc/resolv.conf has valid DNS servers.
See that host resolution in /etc/nsswitch.conf uses DNS as a secondary method after files
See that /etc/rec.config.d/netconf has a valid, ping reachable gateway provided by your network department or Internet Service provider.
