Configurin Swap space for large memory systems
I have a system with 12 GB of memory.
From the documentation I see that the swap space needed is from 1-4 times the size of physical memory.
12 GB swap is enough for my system?
We have planned to increase in the future the memory up to 16 GB or meybe more. I would know your opinion if 12 GB will be sufficient also for this new size of memory.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Configurin Swap space for large memory systems
There was a earlier requirement that swap should be 2.5 times the installed RAM, however with the current RAM sizes..going higher than 8GB..it is practically not required to have such a high swap space configured unless the application requires..it..
So it depends..
