configuring a modem on rx2620 server
Hi Guys,
Can anyone advice how can I configure the M5634 V.92 modem on a rx2620 running hp ux 11.23. I have successfully setup the modem in sam. But, when I use a notebook to dial-in I can see that is connected but I cannot see the session log-in screen it appear garbage. Can someone help??

Might want to look at the notebook side of the equation.
If sam let you set up the modem, its recognized if not supported. Standard settings should work. What client are you using on the notebook to connect?

I'm using a normal winxp client to dial in. Something like hyperterm terminal. Please advice

In modem properties while configuring Terminal connectivity , set
XON/XOFF to none,
hardware handshake- None
Date bits-8
Buad rate-9600
If above does not help, check /etc/gettydefs file for system setting on modem device file
