I usually make a point of NOT posting on these types of threads; however, this one I will.

I've never personnaly met Bill; I wish I had and hope to some day. I remember when I first started working on HPs in 1995, I was having problems and posted to comp.sys.hp.hpux. Bill Hassell's response was right on the money. Ever since then, I've kept an eye out for his posts and have learned quite a bit from them.

Congrats, Bill; You've certainly earned it.

You know...at one time I was a top-10 HP-UX forummer. And then a boat-load of work & a certain person - who shall reamin nameless ;~)) decided to retire from HP - came along and knocked me clear out of the park. Literally left me in the dust - I guess having twice the time to forum kinda helped that along 8~))
And did I get upset? Absolutely not. Because if you're going to get booted out, well if it's Bill, it's a "bruise" to be worn honorably - period.
And the saddest part of it all is that I will get back there, but probably only at the expense of a dear friend & ex-coworker - Sridhar - who had to leave the forum to pursue other opportunities. I wonder if he'll see this & take up the challenge.
You out there Sri? Bring it on my friend - I can take *lots* of bruises.
