Fantastic effort Steven. I'm sure it wasn't that long ago that you made Olympian.
I've always wondered when you manage to sleep - doesn't seem to be a time you're not on the forums answering questions!

Cheers

Re: Congrats to Steven in becoming a Double Olympian

It is impossible to thank everyone individually. I've found the itrc environment the most postive of the experiences I've had in my professional life. I consider it part of my professional life because people like Sridhar, A. Clay, Pete Randall, Rita Workman inspire me to work harder and never stop growing.

Thoughs and ramblings:

Thanks to Geoff Wild for the thread. Thanks to every poster for the inspiration.

I achieved this goal almost 1 year to the day after achieving single Olympian status. A great thank you to each and every one of you that decided to bestow points. Please to all reading this reward your helpers with points.

I am feeling better and as I go through my 40,000 point checkup, I'm going through a little checkup myself. The recent situation has hastened the double Olympian status because its prevented me from doing things physically away from the computer.

G-d willing that situation will soon change and decisions are being made and my 100,000 mile body checkup is dealing with some issues.

Plans: I hope some time in the next six months to reach Linux Pharoh status. I enjoy this forum and it keeps me sharp. I plan to keep it up as work and other issues permit and hope to be with the forums for a very long time.

I would like another hat to shoot for. As I've requested before hopefully not an unattractive hat.

Ramblings: Dustin Hoffman: I'd like to thank my parents without which I couldn't have achieved anything that I've achieved.

More goals: I'd like to work with larger more powerful hardware, learn vpars, get my serviceguard cluster up and clustering, grow professionally. Sometimes my answers come with unforeseen delays because I always stop typing when my daughter wants to climb into my lap or my son needs me.

Honestly, I work hard at this, but think my life is balanced. I expect to do less nighttime posting as issues are corrected and I'm able to sleep through the night.

The expressions of concern and congratulations warmed my heart and touched me very much.

Thank You all.

See you in the forums.

Forum on. Onward and upward.
