Re: connect to hp-ux via VPN

Hi,

What exactly your question is?
If you have the VPN connectivity to your office and can get into your your office network successfully, you can login to the HP-UX servers same as you will like sitting in office.

Re: connect to hp-ux via VPN

hi,

VPN is just a way to connect to your office network in a secured manner. So if you sucessfully get into VPN i.e. offices network then you can also logged into hpux servers lieing in a office network.
Will it remain a personal, if I broadcast it here!

Re: connect to hp-ux via VPN

Remind me one of the situations which i faced...

There might be a firewall between your machine in office and the DataCenter. If that the case, you will face some issues as the IP address which will come after the VPN will be different and may be of different subnet as well.
Have a testing before actually committing it to your Team. :)

Re: connect to hp-ux via VPN

Your two clustered boxes are probably in a separate vlan that is not opened yet to the VPN segment that you came in on. Speak to your network admin and ask him about it, he probably has a rule (or lack of a routing rule) that doesn't let get to that servers' segment.
