Connecting RS232 terminal to 9K/7xx W/S

hi,

I have a HP9000/755 I want to hook up a HP 700/96 terminal. How do I do this. I have
heard of a few people who had done it. I also
need to know what HP rs232 cable part # is
needed if handy.

It either takes a straight thru cable or one with a null modem eliminator in it.

It takes a 9 pin connector on the HP serial A port and a 25 pin connector on the terminal port.

I have a connection kit that consists of a standard serial 25 pin to 9 pin cable, 25 pin to 25 pin cable, 25 pin to 25 pin gender bender, and 25 pin to 25 pin null modem eliminator. I take this kit with me when I am going to work on servers as I always have to patch something together to get a treminal connection with various hardware.
