Connection reset by peer

hi,

i am getting this annoying problem when using "ftp" between 2 tru64 servers and "cp" within NFS bet 2 servers.

is it a known issue? both servers are on the same LAN.

P.S. i got these under ftp:

Connection reset by peer
421 Service not available, remote server ha closed connection (after a failed "ftp")

Hi,

1. This is the wrong forum, you should post under Tru64 Unix.
2. what is the output of ifconfig -Inic -s
3. Does the machine with the ftpd log ftp transfers? If so, look in /var/adm/syslog.dated/current/daemon.log for errors.

This somehow look like a network problem. Check the speed of the cards and associated switch ports.
