Console locks up during log on in CDE

I recently applied patches to my J6750 from June 08 and when I log onto the system, the console freezes on blue screen with all the CDE credits. I can log in via ssh. I’ve seen this before long ago and fixed it with a reinstall, but I’d like a quick fix. Thanks.

A good place to start for all CDE type issues like this is with dr_dt

On my (11.31) system its in /usr/contrib/bin/X11 but it may have been elsewhere on earlier OS versions... so you might have to search for it.

Anyway, just run it with no options and it should diagnose most CDE type issues for you and suggest remedial action.
