console settings
When i connect to the server through the console, somehow all letters appear to be in CAPS. Why could that be happening? Does it have to do with terminal settings?
Thanks!

Re: console settings
Please check whether CAPS LOCK is pressed. If not, press CTRL-D.
In any case, you can reset the terminal by switching off, and switching it on, pressing D button. Release the button in 15 seconds. This operation sets default parameters.
The above is right for HP dumb terminal.

Re: console settings
Also remember check your "console" entry into /etc/gettydefs. The "stty -a" reflect the customization of this file.
For additional info:
#man gettydefs

Re: console settings
Thank you for all your replies.
The above solves after the reboot. This is a random thing and all caps appear with random connects.
I've checked all the settings and everything is well now.
I tried logging in with caps off username, so i don't think that could've caused this problem. Next time similar problem happens, I'll go over your advices once again.
Thank you again,
Asya
