Continuation of printer problem
I have tried the suggestions from the previous posting..but with no joy...
Does the bootp process need to be running contiunously or just when a print request is made...when I am running diag's in jetadmin..Option 4 Print a test..it returns stating printer is busy or offline. (the printer is online and ready and has nothing in the queue)

He who laughs last.....doesnt get the joke !!

Re: Continuation of printer problem
Bootp supplies boot information for device that need load information when they are turned on. (ip address, gateway, etc). Usually these devices are term and print servers. So as long as all the devices in /etc/bootp are up and working and no one will be turning them off then bootp will not be used until a device is powered off.
