Convert file format

In my UX system , there is a old binary utility program ( which was downloaded from the web ), it is only a small file , now I want to use it at linux system , is there any method / tools that can convert it to linux format so that I can run it on linux ?

what is the file type? Check with file ? I don't think it will be possible to port from UX to linux without source?

what is the utility, there may be alternative for that in linux. I don't know any method which can port unix binary to linux binary. it may be possible if we have the source code for the unix binary
