Convert hfs to vxfs

Is there a tool (in OnlineJFS most likely) to convert an hfs filesystem to vxfs? I am trying to find an alternative to backup/newfs/restore or creating a second lv and moving the data over.

There is no tool. You must backup your data, create the vxfs filesystem from scratch, and reload the backup.

It's not like converting from FAT to NTFS on winboxes... :-(

You'll have to backup all your data, create your new vxfs filesystem and restore...

Just remember that you can have all of your logical volumes EXCEPT the one that contains /stand be vxfs. /stand MUST remain HFS.

Make backup, destroy hfs filesystem, create vxfs and reload Your data.

My personal preference is to use Ignite-UX to restructure the system. That way you can change the size of the file systems as well as the organization. Plus, you can convert all of the file systems, except for /stand, of course.
