copies of files
When it executes the command " rcp " or "FTP" rcp it comes back ": lost connection ".
For other servers HP_UX the recording is perfect. We already altered the configuration
of net and even so didn't give right.
Could anybody help me?
Until the moment the support of HP didn't get to find a solution.
Thankful,
Eduardo

Re: copies of files
Have you tried replacing the cable? the network card? the switch/hub port?

Re: copies of files
could You please define 'recording'?
- check for transmission errors recorded in lanadmin
- consider running tcpdump/ethereal to record the transmission and check if there's RST pakets sent at the very end.
- gather some data on if that problem depends on the file size.
- compare ndd settings to the other boxes.
personally I'd first check the cabling and all that.

Re: copies of files
I have seen this problem and this could be because of the network cable or switch (port on the switch)it is related to the network and needs to be fixed.
