Core Dump /usr/lib/libc.2
I have just installed Athene/Metron Performance S/W on to about 20 11.0 Hp/UX boxes. Of which are working fine. and have /usr/lib/libc.2
I have installed this on 4 10.20 HP/UX servers.
When I start them up it Core Dumps straight away with :-
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't open shared library: /usr/lib/libc.2
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
bin/APMsystem[239]: 10489 Abort(coredump)
/usr/lib/libc.2 does not exist on any of theses 10.20 servers, and is why its not working.
Athene/Metron say that their product works on servers from 10... Upwards.
I am enclined to disagree.
My question is. Is this a 10.20 thing, that 10.20 servers dont have this, as I have looked on other servers to no avail. Am I correct.?
OR
Does it not exist but can be added via a patch or something and I am wrong.
OR
Is it just a plain Upgrade to 11.0 HP/UX to fix it.
Help
Please I am scratching my head
Cheers
Rich

Re: Core Dump /usr/lib/libc.2
shared libraries with .2 extension are written for HP PA-RISC-2.0 and will not (not ever) run on HP-UX 10.20
SO: don't install the product on 10.20

Enjoy, Hav

Re: Core Dump /usr/lib/libc.2
so far I have found it only on 11 machines. However this puzzles me:
/usr/lib/libc.2: PA-RISC1.1 shared library -not stripped
Shouldnt it say RISC2?

Michael

Re: Core Dump /usr/lib/libc.2
you find next to each answer a pull down menu from 0 to 10 points. Assign each the points and then click on submit points.
thanks,
Michael

Re: Core Dump /usr/lib/libc.2
the drop down menu must be in the upper right corner of the square for each anser. What browser are you using?
