I'm trying to install Ignite-UX C.6.0.109 in an HP-UX 11.00 sytem. Swinstall reports an error:
The corequisite
"Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-11,r=C.6.0.109,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64"
for fileset "Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-00,r=C.6.0.109" cannot be
successfully resolved.
ERROR: The dependencies for fileset
"Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-00,r=C.6.0.109" cannot be resolved (see
previous lines).
You must resolve the above dependencies before operating on
this fileset or change the "enforce_dependencies" option to
"false".
I checked the depot downloaded from HP Website but not found the fileset required.
The contents of depot are:
# Ignite-UX C.6.0.109 HP-UX System Installation Services
Ignite-UX.BOOT-COMMON-PA C.6.0.109 Common Boot Components for PA-RISC clients
Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-00 C.6.0.109 Installation Boot Kernel for B.11.00 clients
Ignite-UX.BOOT-SERVICES C.6.0.109 Network Boot Services for System Installations
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-11-00 C.6.0.109 File Archives Used By Clients During HP-UX Install
Ignite-UX.IGNITE C.6.0.109 Graphical Ignite User Interface for Installations
Ignite-UX.IGNT-ENG-A-MAN C.6.0.109 Ignite-UX Manual Pages
Ignite-UX.MGMT-TOOLS C.6.0.109 Tools for Managing Data Files on an Ignition Server
Ignite-UX.OBAM-RUN C.6.0.109 User Interface Libraries Needed for Older Systems
Ignite-UX.RECOVERY C.6.0.109 System disaster recovery tools
Is that depot improperly built ?
Any idea ?
Thanx in advance

Solutionplease check Document id: KBRC00016056
which seems to describe your case.
http://www5.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000076702203
I'm afraid the resolution is a bit lengthy!

John K.

Re: corequisite not resolved for Ignite-UX C.6.0.109 HP-UX 11.00
... C.6.0.109_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64
depot.
I had the same problem -- it definitely needs the files from the 11.11 fileset that it complains about.
What I did was:
1) download and install the latest SD patch,
which didn't help, of course, but which is just good to do.
2) Force the swinstall of BOOT-KRN-11-00:
## opt="-x enforce_dependencies=false \
-x mount_all_filesystems=false \
-x reinstall=true \
"
## swinstall -v $opt -s /var/tmp/Ignite-UX-11-00* \
B5725AA.Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-00
This was necessary, but didn't solve the problem, either.
When you do this, you end up with some symbolic links that point to the 11.11 files, which aren't there, because they're in BOOT-KRN-11.11!!
## ll /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL
... /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL -> /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALL
...
3) Downloaded 11.11 Ignite, extracted the missing files, and copied them to where the links pointed.
## swlist -l file B5725AA.Ignite-UX.BOOT-KRN-11-11
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALL
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALLFS
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/VINSTALL
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/VINSTALLFS
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/WINSTALL
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/WINSTALLFS
/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/auto_conf
/opt/ignite/data
/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.11
/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.11/INSTCMDS
/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.11/RECCMDS
## ll /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL
... /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL--->/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALL
## ll /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALL
... 17454992 Sep 2 22:52/opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/INSTALL
## ll -L /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL
... 17454992 Sep 2 22:52 /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00/INSTALL
((I probably could have forced the install of the BOOT-KRN-11.11
fileset, but I was pressed for time and didn't want to troubleshoot
any swinstall issues.
))
Having the 11.11 files in place fixed the problem.
