cpio & query regarding how to use the ultrium autoloader drives

Just started using HP-UX 11.23 on a RISC based machine. Actually, I have two different problems :-

1) I am having a cpio Oracle IDS installation file on the disk. How do I extract this file for installation ?

2) How to install and manage backups using HP data protect software ? I have Ultrium-3 LTO 1/8 Autoloader.

3)When I try to install Oracle (64 bit)IDS 10g(9.0.4.0.0) on HP-UX-11.23 (64bit), the OUI preinstallation check fails with error that only HP-UX-11.00 & 11.11 is supported. Why is it so, even though I have a higher version of the OS ?

Q3) If you have 11.23 then you need an oracle version supported for 11.23
