cpu relation
one of my live server is showing high cpu utilisation when i chceck with top command. i have a fail over server.is there is posssible to transfer cpu from fail over server to live server
please provide me the steps.

The tools in the link above will get you much more precise performance data.
Look for memory leaks:

Once you have identified the application causing the problem, or the configuration causing the problem, you can take steps to correct it.
You have not provided even an OS version, clearly not enough data to even begin to diagnose the problem.

Do you mean is it possible to physically remove some processors from your failover server and put in your live server?
If so, there is not enough information to answer that with anything other than MAYBE.
What model server are the live and failover? How many CPUs are in each? What speed CPUs?

Unless your system is a partitionable system, you can use ICOD (or ICAP), but you need a license from HP in order to use this product.
Also another option is if your servers are Virtual Partitions or Virtual Guests.
