We have a rp2470 pa-risc at 750MHz. CPU speed wise, is this better than an Intel 3Ghz? Is there is easy way to tell? Thanks.

Trying to compage a PA-RISC CPU to an Wintel type CPU is like comparing apples and oranges.

One CPU may do one thing better, while the other does something else better.

Just comparing Mhz/GHz values doesn't cut it here.

What exactly are you after? What functions do the machines with these processors perform?

We want to install Oracle Grid OEM on this server. But the Oracle documentation only lists Intel CPU speed needs.
