CPU Utilization problem

Hello every body,

I have rx8640 machine hosting oracle database, CPU performance problem happened recently, 2 months ago, I have checked the processes and I have noticed that when ever lnslsnr service is running, system CPU utilization is very high.

I am looking for a document to tune lnslsnr service, if any one can help.

Hi Yazan,

Check the kernel, especially these values:

nkthread, maxdsiz, max_thread_proc, maxusers, maxfiles_lim, maxfiles, maxdsiz_64bit, maxssiz, maxssiz_64bit, shmmax.

you need to take a workaround with your DBA regarding kernel parameter settings.
