crase /stand/system ??
when /stsnd/system crases what to do from following ??
1. restore the full backup
2. system_prep
3. mk_kernel

If the system file is the only file that is gone, then I think you can restore it from a backup, if your system is up and running.
If the whole /stand is gone, then you've got bigger problems.......

If it was deleted somehow, then I would venture to say to copy from a known good system with the same config. You may be able to use SAM to re-create it if not.
Note that unless you are trying to re-build the kernel this file should not be required for anything that I know of.....However this is one of those files I have never blown away! :)

If you have erased your /stand/system file do simply:
/usr/lbin/sysadm/get_sysfile /stand/vmunix >/tmp/system
Then you can either move or copy /tmp/system to
/stand/system
Works in HPUX11
