Creat an Ignite archive raw disk

Sorry to be so lost. There are a lot of sources I've read but I don't understand.

http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000079862785
Seems I need to make_medialif and add it to my archive in an hfs filesystem use instl_combine

Take this image that instl_combine modified, and write it to a scratch hard-disk and boot from it.

I have an ignite server with my archives.
Can I make_medialif add an archive wrap it and dd it to a raw disk?

All I've read are pretty general.

What config files do I need to modify for make_medialif ?

Is there a doc with step by step instructions ?

I want to srdf this disk to my desaster site to bring up a server.
Desaster recovery? Right !

Re: Creat an Ignite archive raw disk

The make_medialif(1m) page has an example of creating a golden image custom install media.
After you have run make_medialif and instl_combine as described in the document then you can dd it to your scratch disk.

Not a Golden Image. An exact image archive.

Re: Creat an Ignite archive raw disk

Ignite-UX in general an make_medialif in particular do not handle dd images, only tar/cpio arhives, or SD depots.
