Is it okay to run

make_tape_recovery on the primary active node when the MC/SG is not shutdown

Hi,

It will work just fine. We've done it before and used those tapes to ignite other boxes, and they've worked just fine. MC/SG is well behaved and pretty much runs from daemons in memory, so there really aren't any files to worry about picking up in your Ignite tape to cause you any trouble.
