Re: create stape driver

If the stape driver is not in the kernel then you need to add it to the kernel and reboot the server.

Re: create stape driver

hi,
after adding new kernel you must exit the sam then "select create a new kernel now" and need to restart server before effect the the new create kernel driver.

Re: create stape driver

You need to select the Actions, create new kernel now and it will prompt for auto restart.
Your previous kernel is saved as vmunix.prev as a backup in /stand
As always....take appropriate backups.

Re: create stape driver

It is not possible to add the stape driver without a reboot.

Nejad,

Asking the same question a couple of days later is not gonna give you a different solution.
Just like in http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1150567 people will keep on telling you that creating a new kernel and rebooting the system is the only way to solve your problem.
There really is no other way to put the stape driver in your running system.

Hi,

besides rebooting your box, you should change this:
