cron job emails
Hi friends,
I am facing issue with cron job emails because domain name registration.
I am having a perl script which executed by crontab each hour for email some text file as a normal user on my hpux server. As my server name is not registred on the DNS, firewalls are blocking the email address (from). Is there any option that i can change the from address on the script or on the crontab level?
Please help.
Thanks and Regards,
Arumon

Re: cron job emails
You can configure /etc/mail/sendmail.cf to use masquerading. The macro name is DM and you'll see comments in the sendmail.cf file about using masquerading. Once you change sendmail.cf, be sure to restart sendmail:
/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start
