Customizing update-ux to install thirdparty software

I am trying to customize hpux installation so as to install a thirdparty software during os installtion. I was able to to integrate this software with ignite and it gets propely installed witha cold install. But while update-ux inly okgs from hps depot get installed. Is there a way to modfy update-ux configuration
