The NIC isn't showing up in ioscans; is there something I'm missing? An application or patch I need to install?
Thanks!!

Re: D310, J3515A NIC installed, not showing up
The driver should be available on the Core OS CD for 11.00. The directory should be named similar to the NIC.
Insert the cd
mount /cdrom
swinstall -i -s /cdrom
You should be able to find it.

It seems you are missing the drivers.
can you install QPK bundle patches from recent support plus media or you can also download from this site

Did you reboot after you installed the card? If not, did you run insf -e to install the device files? Do you have the 100Base/T software loaded?

They may also be able to be found at http://software.hp.com
If you follow the instructions in my original post, you should be able to get it working.
It is not uncommon for hardware to be invisible without the drivers installed. The card could be dead, but more likely just install the driver.

Re: D310, J3515A NIC installed, not showing up
first you pls check the card properly fixed
Then you boot the system and check in the
ioscan -fnC lan output
it is listing or not
if it is listing and showing UNCLAIM
then you install the driver for it and reboot the system again check with the same command
and also try that lan card fix to in some other slot if there is free
Thanx

Solution\
If the card doesn't show up in ioscan at all, you have a hardware issue with the card.
\
If it shows up but is unclaimed/unknown, you need to load the driver from the application cds.
\
You will also need to apply the appropriate patches: PHNE_25579 and all its dependencies.
