Data migration

Hi all,

I have an upcoming data migration of a HDS 9200 storage to a HDS 9520V. As the new LUN sizes will be different from the old LUNs, I'm considering whether to use cpio to do the data copy. But my concern is the size of the files as most of the Oracle db files are more than 2GB in size. Is it still feasible to use cpio or what other alternatives can I seek other than cpio?

Thanks!

Re: Data migration

Cpio does have a 2GB limit. You can use fbackup/frecover if you must use an intermediate medium to store the copies but otherwise a simple cp will suffice.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Data migration

You can go with fbackup/frecover. cp or mv will do.
