DBD::Oracle with perl
I have read several of the posts out there on the DBD::Oracle issues a lot of you have had, so I went to Merihn's site and downloaded a binary copy of perl already built for hpux.
I downloaded perl5.8.6 since it was under the heading 11.11/64 bit which was what I was looking for. I installed it on /opt/perl64 - I then tried for the DBD::Oracle piece - it makes fine, but the make test fails
t/32xmltype.............ok 3/4Unsupported named object type for bind parameter at t/32xmltype.t line 71.
t/32xmltype.............dubious
Test returned status 255 (wstat 65280, 0xff00)
DIED. FAILED test 4
Failed 1/4 tests, 75.00% okay
t/80ora_charset.........dubious
Test returned status 4 (wstat 1024, 0x400)
DIED. FAILED tests 9-10, 13-14
Failed 4/14 tests, 71.43% okay
Failed Test Stat Wstat Total Fail Failed List of Failed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
t/32xmltype.t 255 65280 4 2 50.00% 4
t/80ora_charset.t 4 1024 14 4 28.57% 9-10 13-14
5 tests and 124 subtests skipped.
Failed 2/29 test scripts, 93.10% okay. 5/2031 subtests failed, 99.75% okay.
*** Error exit code 2
Is there anyone out there that can give me some advise or instructions on getting this installed.
Thanks
Kim

Re: DBD::Oracle with perl
In my latest attempt I just used cpan using "force install DBD::Oracle".
"The difference between me and you? I will read the man page." and "Respect the hat." and "You could just do a search on ITRC, you don't need to start a thread on a topic that's been answered 100 times already." Oh, and "What. no points???"
