DCE 9000 Core Client Software

Are there any issues with not having DCE 9000 Core Client Software (kthreads support)installed on your server. The only issue i have found at the moment is that you cannot install ITo agent 5.35 without it. The system is HPUX 11.00 server D330

This is optional software and therefore it is not required for HPUX to function. Applications such as ITO require it because they are linked with libdcekt.sl which is provided with the DCE-KT-Tools product. Off the top of my head I don't know of any other applications that use this library.

If you happen to get a dld error from another application complaining about a missing libdcekt.sl then you will know that you need this product. If you aren't receiving any such errors they you're ok!
