As title,
dd if=/dev/rdsk/c0t8d0 of=dev/rmt/0m bs=2048
but write error and caused the file system full, does anyone know where are the dd tmp
files due to dd write error? Thanks.

Solution
Hi,
Please check your /dev/rmt/0m and make sure it is a special file. Do an
mt -t /dev/rmt/0m rew and see it it works.
I guess it may have been an ordinary file instead of a device file pointing to the tape drive.

Some devices, such as 1/2-inch magnetic tapes, are incapable of seeking. Such devices may be positioned prior to running dd by using mt.

Pls check you syntax.
there is an error near of=.
it has to be of=/dev/rmt/0m.
you missed that /. thats the only problem. this happnes ;).
