DDS command
What command can be used to check the available space in harddisk, DDS tape or DLT tape in HP-UX platform ?

For disk drives, you can use "bdf" command which shows the number of free disk blocks but I don't think that HPUX offers commands to check out availability on DLT, DDS tape itself.

For disk (as mentioned), bdf shows free space for mounted volumes. For tapes, there is no realo way to determine free space on a serial device, especially with compression. The tape has a native (uncompressed) capacity and you might use the 'typical' value of 2x the capacity for compression but this will never be realized with random data.
