I usually use Custom Patch Manager to build my own depots a couple times a year. This time I thought I'd try using the Support Plus CD since I felt they were better tested.
I am confused about how to apply the diagnostics patches. I've registered the depots for BUNDLE11i and GOLDQPK11i, but when I try to register the DIAGNOSTICS depot it says there is no software there.
Is there a recommended order to install these in?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Re: December 2002 Support Plus
Hi Tim,
You'll need to register that depot as: DIAGNOSTICS/B.11.11
Cheers

Solution
Hi Tim,
These are the procedures we use when installing a new system, if doing a cold install and not using an ignite image from another server.
CORE/OS
Additonal software products glance etc
Diagnostics
Latest or nominated patch bundle
The below posting nominates some other things as well in regards to basic system security before anything should be done that are really useful.

Re: December 2002 Support Plus
One thing to be aware of is that the OnlineDiags on the Support Plus CDs are not patches, but a new release each quarter.
This is important to know because you also need to check to see if there are patches available for the release you are installing. If there are, then in most cases these should be applied since they will be providing fixes for Serious and Critical problems.
For December 2002, the 11i patch is PHSS_28252. (For 11.00, PHSS_28528 should be applied)
