Default time-out value supplied by the disk device driver

Hi.
all my physical volumes has the value 'default' as IO timeout. pvchange manual pages say:

An IO_timeout value of zero (0) causes the
system to use the default value supplied by
the device driver associated with the physical
device.

How can I find out this value ?

We tried to find this out a while ago also, but its hardcoded in the HP-UX source. Eventually we got a reply from the codewriters in the US, the default is 30 seconds.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

The default is 30, but there is a procedure for changing it.

I can't find my copy but its out there somewhere in itrc.
