Defining vpmon Boot disks

I was reviewing a parstatus on a server that transitioned to my team (This is my 1st vpar'ed system). In cross referencing the Primary/Alternate/Secondary Boot Paths defined for the partition with ioscans from the 3 vpars, I only see 1 of the defined boot paths was found. so .. I'm about to define new alternate and secondary boot paths to the partition .. what is the thought process in picking the boot paths .. Is it the primary boot path from the 1st 3 vpars? Am I over thinking this?

Thanks

Re: Defining vpmon Boot disks

Hi,
vpar boots froms the /stand/vpmon which is identical on all vpar and are in sync with each other , so i guess there shoould not be any issue in secting any of the disk as primary/secondary boot path

Re: Defining vpmon Boot disks

Because all vpmons on all defined boot disks are equal, it does not really matter where Primary/Alternate/Secondary boot path is set to. Just make sure you have different settings for each entry.

Hope this helps!
