Hi, I got a quick question regarding swap.
I got two swap lvol in vg00 and vg01.
I'm planning to make mirror from vg00 to vg01.
If I delete swap in vg01, would this cause any problem to the system?
thanks

Solution
You must have a swap partition in /dev/vg00 to even boot your system.
You can't create a mirror from vg00 to vg01
Removing the swap partition in vg01 is no problem, although it can't be done without a reboot. Simply remove the line of the logical volume from /etc/fstab.

Anyone for a Mutiny ?

Re: Deleting SWAP
hi
if you're about to mirror your system with mirror-ux you won't be able to mirror between to VG. The right thing to do to mirror th VG00 is to include an other disk in VG00 and mirror each LV with lvextend command. (don't forget to make your disk bootable)

Re: Deleting SWAP
Hi,
You cannot mirror across VGs. Logical Volumes only will be mirrored.
You cannot delete the swap when it is active. You need to comment the entry of vg01 swap lvol in /etc/fstab and reboot the system . Once the system is up you can delete that swap logical volume on vg01.
