Re: diaglogd
I assume you mean you can't start diaglogd. Is anything logged in syslog when you try to start diaglogd?
What version of OnlineDiags do you have installed?
in STM, does the System Activity log show any errors for diaglogd?
Are the other daemons running (diagmond, memlogd)? What about the monitors? (/usr/sbin/stm/uut/bin/tools/monitor/*)?
When did the problem start? Has diaglogd ever run, if so, what changed?

Re: diaglogd
> OnlineDiag B.11.00.14.14 HPUX 11.0 Support Tools Bundle
That's a very old version of OnlineDiags, A.22.00 from September 2000 (See http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/diag/stm/stm_upd.htm#table).
You will not get any support from HP on that version. There have been so many changes and bug fixes since that release that it is not worth trying to troubleshoot with that version.
I would recommend upgrading to A.44.00, the March 2004 release, which is available from the ITRC, I believe. Once that's in place (and you should also check your general patch levels), you should install the latest patch for the version, which is currently PHSS_30890.
See http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6191AAE
If, after the upgrade, there are still problems, then it would be worth investigating further.

Re: diaglogd
Please consider assigning points to the replies you've had to your questions.
This has two functions; firstly, it helps others who may have the same problem as you to find an answer, by seeing which answers were most helpful.
Secondly, it helps to reward those who take the time to respond to questions by giving them recognition for the help they provide.
